Setos, one of the least populated peoples in Europe, live in the south of present-day Estonia, but their historical territory includes western Russia. Today, its few thousand members are committed to preserving their culture. Among their unavoidable customs, the annual election of a viceroy, earth representative of the pagan deity Peko, is the time for a great celebration.
