With the days getting shorter in winter, reaching the thousands of islets of the Stockholm archipelago can be daunting. Captain Niclas Jornée's ferry is one of the three cargo ships that supply the islanders every day, in all seasons. Meanwhile in the Swedish capital, the Adolphe-Frédéric music school's choir rehearses for the St. Lucia concert which takes place every December 13. St. Lucia being the festival of light and renewal. The inhabitants brave the darkness by putting up elaborate Christmas decorations. Meanwhile, artists, true magicians of light, illuminate and beautify the city.
