At a time when two hectares of Amazon rainforest are being razed every minute and climate change is accelerating relentlessly, Ecuador has banked on the knowledge economy to exploit its natural resources. Follow the work and innovations of a unique international research center, located in the middle of the Amazon rainforest and inspired by the animal and plant world, as its teams are trying to find concrete solutions to local and global problems such as: major pollution, water treatment, energy, medicine of the future..
The 90,000 hectares National Biological Reserve Colonso-Chalupas, which hosts the IKIAM research center, is home to 10% of the world's biodiversity and is an ecosystem as rich as it is fragile. For IKIAM’s researchers and students, the answers to the planet's ills can be found in the forest, and it only takes a few steps to go from the laboratory to the study field. By combining their strengths and knowledge in synergy with local populations, these scouts will establish new outposts deep in the Amazon rainforest in search of invaluable scientific treasures.
This documentary with splendid images in 4K highlights the emergence of new models that bring hope, combining solidarity and valorization of indigenous peoples and their ancestral culture, protection of the forest against the logic of production, and innovation to meet current challenges.

This series is a 10-episode journey around the world, combining nature’s finest tree specimens with the unique stories of the people that live alongside them.
The trees that are featured across Europe - from Greece to Sweden - stand as references to time, witnesses of collective life and sources of spirituality. Others represent, quite simply, aesthetic encounters. From the ends of their roots to the tips of their crowns, ten trees recount stories and converse among themselves, in this beautiful blending of nature and culture.
Episode 01 - THE WATER LORDS and 06 - THE SURVIVORS already available in English.

Can a river be restored, just like work of art or a castle? This film recounts the fascinating ecological adventure that is gaining ground, worldwide, of giving back a little space to landscaped rivers, and the freedom they so desperately require.
In December 2003, the rapid rise in the level of the Rhône turned to tragedy. The river ruptured its embankments, claiming lives and displacing thousands, amid widespread shock. It had been thought the river was under control, but it was observed that the frantic and anarchic planning of the river - in order to tame it and subjugate it to our economic and energy needs - was partly responsible for the catastrophe.
Too many embankments, too many dams, too many roads and railways, too much concrete … squeezing the Rhône, crowding it out and hemming it in. With its landscapes spoilt and its biodiversity impoverished, it is now even becoming a danger for humans. And so the decision has been made to “restore” it.

Does the Yeti really exist? For the first time in over a century, the sometimes far-fetched Yeti legends and personal accounts have become the subject of state-of-the-art scientific studies.
Several teams throughout the world, in Denmark, England, the US and Russia are carrying out a merciless competition to be the first to publish the revolutionary results – proof that another hominid, with very ancient roots, shares our existence.
Our film sets out to meet the teams involved in this strange race across the world, and features laboratories, hair analysis, footprints and DNA as well as the search for samples in Indonesia and in Canadian nature reserves. A fascinating and thorough film, featuring, amongst others, French Collège de France paleoanthropologist Pascal Picq.
