Insomnia, sleep apnea, and narcolepsy are massively increasing in the world. In a scientific investigation, we will discover the new methods developed to find sleep: fractional sleep, light therapy, helmets that stimulate the brain.

Consequences are huge: sick leave from work, billions of dollars lost for companies, and worse: obesity, diabetes, early Alzheimer. The science of sleep has become a major priority for researchers, so much so that the Nobel Prize in medicine has just been awarded for the discovery of the internal biological clock.

This film draws the psychological portrait of a man who constantly defies death. On at least six occasions, Napoleon and the reaper confront each other. On six occasions, this confrontation will change the course of his life and strengthen him in the idea that he is the chosen one of destiny.

From the enemy bullets from the Pont d'Arcole to the poison of a suicide attempt, from a car bomb to assassination plans, Napoleon forged the image of an invincible being. The final battle against death, on St. Helena, will be the pinnacle of his glory. 2021 will mark the bicentenary of the death of Napoleon.
In 2021, we celebrate the 200th anniversary of Napoleon's death.

Wheat has always been the staple food of humanity, the very foundation of the first civilizations of the world. But today, for a growing number of people, it has become a poison, which has allowed the emergence of a new market of expensive gluten-free products.

And yet, the real cause of this sudden tsunami of grain intolerance remains a mystery. How come all of a sudden, many of us no longer support cereal, highly nutritious in protein? Have recent changes in our eating habits triggered the epidemic? Is wheat not the good old grain we've been eating for 10,000 years?

This film tells for the first time the story of the Katyn massacre seen from both sides: That of the victims and that of the perpetrators. It reveals how this crime, attributed to the Nazis for 50 years, was in fact carried out by the Soviet secret police, the NKVD.

In April 2020, it will be 80 years since the slaughter. The name Katyn has come to embody this large-scale massacre carried out in the greatest secrecy. In a clearing near the city of Smolensk, on the border with Belarus, many of these soldiers, mainly officers, were executed. First blamed on the Nazis, the cover-up endured for five years. It was only on the eve of the collapse of the Soviet Union that Mikhail Gorbachev was finally forced to acknowledge Stalin’s responsibility in the perpetration of the crime. His successor, Boris Yeltsin, opened the archives that provided the long-awaited evidence.
Eighty years later, through archives and animation, Cédric Tourbe tells the story of the Katyn massacre from the side of the victims, and for the first time, from that of the executioners. This slaughter says much about the workings of the Soviet regime, based on a police force operating in unbelievable secrecy.

Famous for its ghost, the Garnier Opera of Paris is above all the product of a titanic building site and the symbol of the birth of a new era. From 1852 to 1870, eighteen years of flamboyance made Paris the capital of modernity.

This 90-minute documentary  - written by Stéphane Landowski  -  aims to tell the story of the great Paris construction of the Garnier Opera House, which lasted 14 years (from 1861 to 1875). While plunging into the backstage, its wheels and its legends, it will explain the special place it occupied in what Nietzsche called the "civilization of opera", the golden age of the bourgeoisie based on the appearance and the spectacular, which was then put in place. By the admission of Charles Garnier, the Opera as a whole was to serve as stage for the new elite of the time.

From the story of its construction and architectural details, we will open windows on historical, social, political and artistic themes that will be treated to the image by paintings, period photos, film clips, animations in 3D and historical evocations (fiction). We will also call on specialized speakers on these different themes. Interviewed in studio and in situ, they will guide us, step by step, in this building still alive and full of anecdotes. Throughout the story, we will also follow the myth of the ghost, invented from scratch by the novelist Gaston Leroux, and so well integrated into the monument that it remains today THE symbol and an important key to understanding. Finally, music and ballet will be present in this film, in the form of musical excerpts and lyrical performances.

After "700 SHARKS" and "EXPEDITION ANTARCTICA", Laurent Ballesta has yet again challenged himself to a new world record: spend 28 days at a depth of 100 meters, pushing the limits of his body to reveal the luxuriant and unknown depths of the Mediterranean.

The Mediterranean. Because people have been travelling there for thousands of years, it is believed to be without secrets. And yet, far below its surface, lie vast unexplored territories, luxurious gardens worthy of the finest tropical coral reefs. These natural wonders are inaccessible to the traditional diver, in a twilight zone, between 60 and 120 m, where there’s less than 1% of sunlight. If diving at such depths is always a challenge, staying there is a fantasy, a utopia that becomes reality in Planet Mediterranean.
In the tradition of Commander Cousteau and his «houses under the sea», the team of diver-photographer Laurent Ballesta is undertaking a new world-record setting mission in complete freedom and without time limit.

For more than a decade, the number two in the Third Reich amassed a collection of more than 5,000 art works, all meticulously detailed in a catalog. But how did Hermann Goering get his hands on these works?

Why did he plunder collections, mainly those belonging to Jewish families who fell victim to the Holocaust? Was it to satisfy his thirst for painting, or was he acting in the service of the Nazi regime? This documentary explores these works and where they were hidden, through extensive photos and archives. At the same time, it tells the story of Nazism’s systematic spoliation, often paid for in blood.

Haute cuisine is a modern luxury that was invented over a century ago by one man. Auguste Escoffier revolutionized French cooking and dining experience and made them a world reference in culinary arts.

He became the legendary chef of the first luxury hotels: the Ritz in Paris, the Savoy and Carlton in London, and then New York. He set the new model of modern gastronomy: organization in the kitchen, uniforms for the personnel, new recipes, hygiene measures, presentation of the dishes and service of course. Through reenactments, archives and interviews of starred-chefs from around the world, we will retrace the birth of haute cuisine and how the legacy of Escoffier remains today.

Embodiment of the American dream and of a radically modern femininity, the painter Georgia O'Keeffe has carved out a special place for herself in the art of the 20th century.

A child of Wisconsin, where her Hungarian and Irish grandparents settled, Georgia O’Keeffe grew up on the family ranch, pushed towards independence by a proud and powerful mother. She knew what she wanted to do very early on; she studied art in New York before finding her own creative path (“filling space in a beautiful way”) through the teachings of Arthur Wesley Dow. She taught art in Texas and returned to the Big Apple in 1918, where the eminent gallery owner and photographer Alfred Stieglitz exhibited her work. From Shelton Hotel to the shores of Lake George, she painted skyscrapers and close-ups of sensuous flowers while he immortalized her tirelessly. He gathered her portraits and nudes, captured in front of her canvases, in 1921 in a scandalous exhibition, which put Georgia O’Keeffe on the map. Six years later, the arrival of Dorothy Norman, a budding photographer, in Alfred Stieglitz’s gallery cast a shadow over their marriage. The artist fled to New Mexico, now sharing her time between East and West, between her wounded love and a consoling nature. After losing an important project and being hospitalized for a nervous breakdown, it was in these desert regions that she rediscovered her taste for painting.
