Carmen Perrin builds and sculpts, assembles and draws. This Bolivian-born Swiss artist has always used art as a form of self-expression.

The meaning of her work can be found not in the materials she uses to produce her installations - egg shells, bicarbonate, straws or bricks - but rather in the evocative power they possess.
Though sometimes monumental, her installations are always discrete, and do not impose themselves on the visitor, but encourage the viewer to discover another perception of one's reality. In order to grasp their language, the visitor must view Perrin's "objects" from close quarters and move around them.
It is with this same reserve that Carmen Perrin shows us some of her installations - in her Geneva gallery, preparing an exhibition, at Zurich airport, in a school and on a building site. She is the link between these troubling objects through which light responds to visitors' curiosity.
