Lanzarote is a magnificent land with lunar landscapes, shaken by the changing lights and the race of clouds. It evokes to Michel Houellbecq an atmosphere of original paradise or end of the world.
The author loves the islands or Lanzarote, a small Canary Island and especially the most preserved, which attracts and magnetizes him. He drew from it the material for two books and a song, where he delights in the beauty that nature can produce, while regretting that Man is not able to preserve it.
