A few weeks after the fall of Omar Al-Bashir, thousands of Sudanese gathered en masse every day outside army headquarters to demand the establishment of a civilian government; before being repressed in blood by the military.

Whether mothers, activists, teachers, students or musicians, these women who participate with strength and resolve in this peaceful revolt all tell how, after thirty years of oppression and humiliation, they have found the courage and hope to continue to mobilize for a democratic Sudan.
Despite the repression that has caused hundreds of deaths and injuries, thousands of arrests and police beatings, Sudanese women remain on the front line and fight moral laws that prevent them from meeting in public, that dictate their dress or the number of lashes to be suffered in punishment of disobedience. Will the assault led by the armed forces to quell the peaceful rebellion mark the end of the movement?
