Due to a lack of resources and adequate infrastructure, many African countries are struggling to keep the coronavirus from spreading too fast.

Just when Africa thought that it was finally done fending off the Ebola epidemic, the Covid-19 pandemic has reached the continent. It does not bode well for the cradle of human civilization. Whether Southern, Northern, Eastern or Western Africa, no region is spared. The fight is on. However, because of these countries’ modest resources, they are facing overwhelming odds. Here as elsewhere, the poorest are the most vulnerable. They are now preparing for a major crisis. Yet now, no one can tell how it will unfold.
