In the north of the West Bank, near Nablus, a new episode in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is being played out: the war of the extremes.

It opposes young radical Jewish settlers, protected by the Israeli army, to young militant Palestinians of a new armed group: the Lion's Den. Between murderous attacks and punitive expeditions, civilians find themselves on the front line. This radical youth movement is out of control. Neither the Israeli government, nor the Palestinian Authority, nor even Hamas, are able to impose themselves. But all are fanning the flames. From illegal Israeli settlements to the bowels of Palestinian refugee camps, this report tells the story of a rise to extremes. That of a generation hostile to the slightest compromise. A generation determined to bury the peace dreams of the Oslo I Accord, signed barely thirty years ago.
