On the island of Stromboli, the volcano sets the pace for the 300 or so people who live on its slopes all year round. Despite the harsh living conditions, and the dangers of one of the world's most active volcanoes, the islanders are very attached to their island, and do everything in their power to keep Stromboli alive.
