Discovering these two islands of beauty and suffering, with island writer Lim Chul Woo.

Lim was born in Wando, where he experienced the closeness of the islands to the cosmos. In Jeju, he was immersed in the suffering endured by the inhabitants of the island, a plight suffered in 1947 when on 3 April, the army massacred a third of the population in order to repress an insurrection. The event continues to leave its mark on the souls of the inhabitants of Jeju.
