In this episode of the series, Alexandra Alévêque flies to Mawsynram, in the northeast of India, in the state of Meghalaya, a region wedged between the Himalayas and the Bangladesh plain.

This small town perched at an altitude of 1491 meters is officially the rainiest place in the world! With almost 12 meters of rain per year, the region has a record humidity, especially during the monsoon season, between May and September. So the inhabitants of the region, the Khasis people, have always been forced to adapt to these extreme conditions. They compete with ingenuity to find protection techniques against the rain.
