In December 1850, Gustave Flaubert, the one who would go on to write Madame Bovary, ventured on the paths of Greece.

A two months journey, after a great trip in the East which had led him to Egypt. Before returning to France, he came to Greece to take a last sip of ancient nostalgia. From the Eleusinian Mysteries ceremony, to the slopes of Mount Parnassus and its Sanctuary of Delphi, the author’s journey will turn out to be a revelation.
