Between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic Ocean, the coasts of the Basque Country live to the rhythm of the waves and winds. This region with its solid roots and singing language is rife with legends and poetry. It was also Maurice Ravel's refuge for several summers.

The major composer of the 20th century drew inspiration from this land stuck between mountains and ocean like between a hammer and an anvil, living to the tune of the Basque pelota ball and the Fandango dances. This is where he wrote his masterpiece: the Boléro.
