The Coptic museum, founded in 1910 by Morcos Smeika Pacha, is the world’s richest museum of Coptic art.
It houses an exceptional collection of objects, textiles, icons and manuscripts, featuring artefacts produced between 300 and 1000 A.D.. Nearly 16,000 pieces are exhibited in twelve different sections.
