The Pyrenees are one of Europe’s oldest mountain range and shelters a wildlife that is almost impossible to observe, as the area is inaccessible. Our team lives on site and will film its wildlife for two years.

Discover wildlife filming behind the scenes and find out that more often than not, animals are much more cunning than men. Unfortunately, this lush world is still not very accessible – the animals fear the presence of man in this emblematic massif. To discover them, you have to investigate, find clues, follow tracks and be very patient before you finally get the chance to see them.
Luckily, the journey proves to be just as exciting as the objective: chance upon a mountain-size game of hide-and-seek where man must understand nature and tame it in order to discover its secrets.

It is not uncommon to see the price of a songbird exceed that of a car, or even a house. Striped doves, oriental magpie-robins... the better a bird sings, the higher its price goes. But the veneration for nature's best singers is not without a darker side: it feeds the illegal bird trade.

Amir takes great pride in his white-rumped shamas, bulbuls and finches. Every weekend, he goes to the Kebun Barun Singing Bird Club of Singapore to meet other enthusiasts. The next singing competition will take place soon. Amir has to train Ramdan, his bulbul. If he wins, his only prize will be prestige, because gambling and betting are not allowed in Singapore. But this does not deter him, as he would like to make a name for himself as a breeder. However, in Singapore, only pet shops are allowed to sell young songbirds. But how can one prove that they really come from breeding farms? These shops sell as many illegally captured birds as private individuals do. GEO Reports will follow bird breeders and environmental activists in the city-state trying to fight against this taking from wildlife.

When one thinks of kangaroos, one thinks of Australia. And yet, they completed a fantastical voyage around the world, from North and South America, to Europe and Antarctica, before landing in Oceania. Where do the animals symbolic of each five continents really come from?

65 million years ago, dinosaurs perished, allowing the advent of mammals on every continent. Over that time, climates have changed, continents have shifted, oceans and seas have risen and died out, new predators have appeared provoking the evolution of these animals and great migrations for survival often far from where they were first seen, from one continent to another.
Scientists use the latest research of evolutionary paleontology to tell the 65 million year odyssey of animals we think we know so well: the monkey, the elephant, the horse, the bear and the kangaroo.

All along the Arctic coast of Norway, there's a bloody battle going on between three different species: orcas, whales…and humans! And it's all over the vast schools of herring that migrate to the Frozen North to seek shelter there in the fjords.!

Follow Didier Noirot, one of the world's greatest underwater cameramen, as he tracks down the giants of the deep - using 8K underwater cameras and drones - and dives right into the heart of the hunt. Orcas – or "killer whales" – have developed what is called the "carousel" technique for catching herring: they surround them with bubbles then drive them up to the surface. But now the other whales are no longer scared of joining in to claim their share of the booty. Then there are the humans, with their huge nets: they too are after the same prize. Who is going to win the Herring War?

In the mythical Eastern Ethiopian city of Harar, Youssouf Mume Saleh feeds a clan of spotted hyenas every evening. Elsewhere in the Horn of Africa, these animals can terrorize populations...

Youssouf is one of the last guardians of a tradition that is over one hundred years old. Long ago, Harar signed a non-aggression pact with the hyenas, and that pact still exists today. The wild hyenas roam the streets of the city freely, and locals are not worried. They need these natural “rubbish collectors”. In addition, the hyenas of Hara protect the population from attack by foreign hyenas.

At a time when all over the world conflicts between man and wild animals are increasing, here exists a unique relationship of cohabitation between man and a major carnivore. This film recounts the story of this exceptional and fascinating man-animal relationship.

While commercial whaling is banned almost everywhere in the world, some peoples whose diets have historically been based on cetacean meat are allowed to hunt whales in limited quantities. The inhabitants of the far north of Russia, the Chukchi, are one of these people.

The Chukotka region opens directly onto the Bering Strait. It is situated a short distance from Alaska, in the extreme north-east of Siberia. Its coastal waters are rich in fish, walruses and whales. For local populations, the capture of a large cetacean is always a major event. To them, the marine mammals are both a source of food and a cultural marker. Here, whaling is an ancestral tradition. The Chukchi have lived on this coast for several millennia because of the many whales that pass through these waters.
