Discover Islay, a Scottish island where whisky, the national beverage, brings the economy and society to life. The company only uses ingredients from the island: the barley, the peat and even the workers are exclusively from Islay. That makes the brewery the second biggest employer on the island. This was not always the case. In the middle of the 1990's, Bruichladdich nearly closed down. But since the beginning of the new century, one man has successfully attempted to bring new life to the island's national treasure.
