Karachay horses are a legendary horse breed from southern Russia. It is on their backs that their ancestors conquered the Caucasus. Even Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in the Caucasus, was conquered on the back of a Karachay horse. Hasan Salpagarov, a local breeder, is determined to repeat this feat with his horses.  

These hardy animals almost became extinct in the 1930s. Fortunately, breeders are committed to the survival of these obedient and placid horses, capable of surviving in inhospitable mountainous areas.
Despite its breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, the Caucasus is an imposing mountain range with a harsh climate. Mount Elbrus, its highest peak, rises to over 5,600 meters. Will the riders reach the summit with their mounts?
