Flying in huge flocks, the geese land in Frisia every year in April before continuing their journey to the Arctic where they breed. But what delights the naturalists is very bad news to the farmers, whose fields they devour.

Until 50 years ago, the barnacle goose was threatened with extinction. Today, hundreds of thousands of them populate the planet again. The return of the wild geese is a cause for celebration for biologists and naturalists, but it is also a source of concern for a growing number of farmers, whose fields are being destroyed by them. Will the two sides be able to find a compromise?
