The bison of Poland almost became extinct after World War 2, but a group of passionate enthusiasts saved the species and reintroduced it into what is considered to be Europe’s last primary forest: Bialowieza Forest. 

Wieslaw Zejmo has been a ranger there for many years, and he accompanies Guillaume Mazille on the trail of these large mammals. Approaching them takes a great deal of patience and knowledge on the part of those who take care of them, like Wieslaw, in the vast Bialowieza Forest. Guillaume gets an opportunity to observe the behaviours of mothers and their young.
