For over 50 years in Cuba, the economic embargo imposed by the U.S. has forced Cubans to adopt a timeless lifestyle.

There are no traffic jams or advertising billboards in Havana. But the surprising thing is the Cuban people’s incredible zest for life. Every day, they have to call upon their own inventiveness in order to travel, to feed themselves or just to dress well.

The majority of Cubans, for example, have never read a fashion magazine, nor can they afford to buy cosmetics or buy fine clothes. They make do with what they find. We enter the private lives of ten women - dancers, novelists, actresses, musicians and workers - through their point of view.
