The wrestling tournament is nearing its close, and the atmosphere is increasingly tense. The finals will determine who goes on to represent the town in national contests. 

But in addition, the National Party are using the tournament for political ends, playing on stereotypes and whipping up tensions that spill over into violence. Agathe is eliminated from the running by a racist attack. Her daughter decides to stay in Mali. Selma has become a poster girl for the National Party: rejected by her friends, she watches helplessly as her family disintegrates. When Céline's husband Pierre comes home from hospital, she is torn between following her own desires and salvaging her marriage and family. Nathalie cannot stand being a jobseeker any longer. Despite the huge difficulties she faces, she decides to pursue her dream of becoming a designer, even if she has to starve along the way.
