Obeying a mysterious annual call, tens of thousands of marbled groupers congregate in the sumptuous Fakarava Atoll in French Polynesia to reproduce. In synchronization with the full moon of June or July, the event is a veritable choreography, attracting all sorts of wild, under-water predators.

For the first time, a team of scientists, divers and filmmakers will monitor and survey the channel of an atoll in order to render visible and comprehensible the hidden mechanisms of what is the lagoon’s real lifeline, announcing a moment of frenzy … between life and death.
