Anti-Judaism, Judeophobia, hatred of Jews... Anti-Semitism is a long-standing phenomenon – but where does it come from?
It has evolved for more than two thousand years, while many different societies rose and fell.

This investigation retraces the genealogy of antisemitism, from its origins to the present day – and for the first time with images. Some thirty leading international experts have created a fresco that will explore the multiple facets of the phenomenon and its evolution through the ages. To do so, they have been drawing on the traces left throughout the world and the 3D historical reconstructions developed by Ubisoft for its Assassin's Creed series.

A discovery that rewrites the story of Mankind’s origins, because up until now, the oldest remains found went back to 200.000 years ago! A revelation that not only stretches the timeline of Homo Sapiens’ story, but also changes the geography of where we came from, the whole sub-Sahara region.

When one thinks of kangaroos, one thinks of Australia. And yet, they completed a fantastical voyage around the world, from North and South America, to Europe and Antarctica, before landing in Oceania. Where do the animals symbolic of each five continents really come from?

65 million years ago, dinosaurs perished, allowing the advent of mammals on every continent. Over that time, climates have changed, continents have shifted, oceans and seas have risen and died out, new predators have appeared provoking the evolution of these animals and great migrations for survival often far from where they were first seen, from one continent to another.
Scientists use the latest research of evolutionary paleontology to tell the 65 million year odyssey of animals we think we know so well: the monkey, the elephant, the horse, the bear and the kangaroo.

To improve its own health, Big Tech has decided to take over ours. Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and many other digital corporations have already started defrauding our medical data and replacing national health structures by mining their users’ personal data.

Through artificial intelligence and their boundless capacity for innovation, they have inserted themselves into a failing health-care sector, which they see as just the ultimate market to conquer.
Google sorts patients in British emergency rooms. Apple takes the world's pulse, and has promised to make improving public health "its greatest contribution to mankind." Facebook has its own Zuckerberg Hospital and shares its users' "secret medical information" with the pharmaceutical industry. As for Amazon, Jeff Bezos's company has started delivering medicine, and is entering the medical-insurance market.
Is our health the next sector facing Uberization? Will nations be able to protect their citizens from the maneuvers of the Big Four?

Now more than ever, we are swamped with news about the end of the world and the destruction of nature. Let us tell you a story: once upon a time, there was a magnificent loser, one that has been largely ignored.

That loser tried to face the Almighty Human. Thanks to scientific evidence, we will try to demonstrate that our character is much more extraordinary than it appears. “It all started with the moss,” says Tim Lenton, a professor at the University of Exeter. “It's great to think that if it wasn't for the evolution of this humble plant, none of us would be here today. It has caused a major increase in the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere.” For you see, this little plant plays an indispensable role in the creation of life on earth, and this story is also a scientific investigation.

This plethora of information restricts our freedom of thought, our imagination and even our motivation to change things. We are living in an era of boundless technological and scientific acceleration that starkly contrasts with the ticking clock of climate change. So how can we discuss ecology, nature and the science of nature today without being puzzled by this overwhelming, shapeless mass of distressing, sometimes moralizing, data and this dreadful urgency that always looms over us?

Researchers have theorized that forests are solely responsible for the oxygen levels’ rise, but Tim Lenton and his co-authors disagree. Using simulations to examine the past, they estimated that about 440 million years ago, lichen and mosses potentially generated about 30% of the earth's oxygen. This increase in oxygen levels allowed plant and animal life (including humans) to evolve. This documentary therefore has the ambition to be both a scientific investigation and a visual poem. Our wish is to make an unexpected film that takes us on a timeless journey to the heart of the infinitesimally small and the immeasurably large. The story of this plant is an ecological fable: the few grams that this organism weighs tell the story of planet earth itself. It relativizes the role of the dominant mankind and unfurls a history of the world weaving the past, present and future.

A photographer takes aim at America’s collective amnesia of history. Traveling through the region we now call the American West - the previously Mexican-ruled territories of California, New Mexico and Texas - he traces the pre-1848 border and encounters families that have lived in the region since long before the US takeover.

His quest reveals suppressed memories and fascinating personal histories, shining new light on identities - indigenous, mestizo, Crypto-Jewish, Afro-Latin - that remain ignored and distorted in the official versions of history still taught today.

Who knows Alice Guy? This Frenchwoman was born in 1873 and she is nothing less than the first female director! The one who thought, imagined and felt that cinema would become an art and the best way to tell stories.

With nearly a thousand films, the most abundant career of her time which she was the only one to carry out on both sides of the Atlantic, this pioneer was literally wiped out by film historians during her lifetime. This film paints a fascinating portrait of an ardent and visionary woman, who has never stopped conquering new territories, only to end up with one last dream: to regain her destiny. It finally gives her the floor to deliver her version of history and regain her place in history.

"Alice Guy was an exceptional director, with a rare sensitivity, a remarkably poetic eye and a great instinct [...]. She has written, directed and produced over a thousand films. And yet, she was forgotten by the industry she helped create.” Martin Scorsese

The director sets off in search of the film “Nuremberg: Its Lesson for Today”, the official 80’ film of the Nuremberg trial by the Schulberg brothers, that was withdrawn from circula-tion in post war United States for geo political reasons, and then disappeared. This is the story of the film itself, that contained excruciating evidence of the Nazi crimes, how and why it was censored, how it was found again and the lessons it teaches us on how we treat collective memory.

There have been a number of films about Nuremberg, but this documentary takes a novel approach, exploring the trial process from a personal angle, via the fascinating story of Budd and Stuart Schulberg, the two brothers the OSS assigned to gather film evidence of the Nazis' crimes.

From the enemy bullets from the Pont d'Arcole to the poison of a suicide attempt, from a car bomb to assassination plans, Napoleon forged the image of an invincible being. The final battle against death, on St. Helena, will be the pinnacle of his glory. 2021 will mark the bicentenary of the death of Napoleon.
