What if bodybuilding was not just a simple sporting and aesthetic discipline? What if it the practice was actually conforming to the social pressures of our neoliberal society, by celebrating and encouraging the constant surpassing of oneself?

With the help of illustrious weight trainers and experts, All Brawn offers a fascinating look into the history and culture of this art of performance. Gain insight into this mass phenomenon, a metaphor for the obsession with control and cost-efficiency.

Everywhere on the planet cities seem to pop up and grow, sometimes despite climatic or geographical conditions that seem impossible to live in. How do people acclimate to lead a normal life?

Follow Alexandra, a travel reporter, to meet those living in the most extreme cities of the world. The coldest, warmest, highest, most humid, etc. First stop in Yakutsk, Siberia and then La Paz in Bolivia,  to show the incredible adaptability of their inhabitants.
Some are extremely cold, others extremely hot, very high, very isolated or incredibly densely populated. The planet already has dozens of cities which, seen from our perspective, do not appear to be very appealing places to live. And yet, people like them and live in them, unaware that their daily life is a feat in itself.
Journalist Alexandra Alevêque will experience life in some of the most extreme cities in the world, living in each one long enough to learn about the locals' way of life.
What she brings back is an insight into humankind's incredible capacity to adapt and find behavioural and organisational solutions.
What do these unusual cities look like?
What is life like for their inhabitants?
What can we learn from them?

For three months, with three stories coming from both sides, Internet viewers will have access to a virtual wall where they will see videos from Havana and Miami, as well as contributions (videos, pictures and texts) coming from the audience. The project will be first on line and will prepare the ground for a television film. The project will be a coalition of producers and broadcasters from Europe, the US and the Hispanic world so as to make it a real global coproduction.

"Real people" welcome us into their homes, far off the beaten track, and allow us to get to know their countries, their families, their jobs or their passions.
75 portraits make up this living mosaic of Europe!

Strong, surprising and remarkable personalities - Leo, a boxing-mad broker from London; Enda, an Albanian designer who's preparing her first fashion-show in Tirana; Elisabetta, a Sicilian woman who, after travelling round Europe, takes over the family olive-oil business; Bosse, a Finnish biker who's also a doting father; Jean, a priest in the Belgian Ardennes who at the age of 70 is going to leave his parishioners in order to marry the love of his life; Didda, a grocer-woman from Reykjavik who dreams only of poetry; Gabriela, a struggling Slovakian actress who's waiting for her dream-role. All these different faces of one and the same Europe.

As Bulgaria and Romania swell the ranks of the member-states of the Union, the goal of the Welcome to documentary collection is to create a living mosaic of Europe, day by day, far from the institutional machine.

Welcome to bears in equal measure the imprint of young authors and experienced directors, such as Solveig Anspach, Nino Kirtadze, Manu Bonmariage, Cyril Mennegun, Dominique Gros, Judit Kele, Vassili Silovic, Patric Jean, Peter Vaclav and many others.

TWENTY-FOUR HOURS completes the EUROPE ATTITUDE collection with 3 of the cities. The idea of this collection is to translate the emotions we can feel when, far from home, we arrive in a foreign city for the first time ; the moments when we get off the plane, the car, the boat.

    Architectural, historical or artistical emotions...
Some emotions most of the time translated through encounters we can make there.
With some good characters, ordinary or extraordinary, but always likeable. The pleasure of shooting from dawn on Friday to twilight on Sunday, to go through the city as in emergency, but with a special care. To capture the breathe of this city, its movements, its peculiarities, its future. We follow these people in their daily lives in different places, we discover the city and its history through these lives.

These men and women - whose occupations include those of boxer, herbalist, social worker, magician, teacher, and carpet-layer - are all European. With their strong and surprising characters, they are part of their territory. Based on the principle of meeting people, each film reveals a personal and sensitive portrait of a character in their day-to-day environment, and asks our neighbours how they feel about Europe. Over a succession of encounters, the collection builds up a humane and singular European landscape.

Despite the fact that there have been many changes over time in the way anorexia is viewed on a societal, cultural and medical level, the condition remains an enigma.

This film is presented in the form of an international investigation into the way the condition is evolving and the way in which anorexia and its treatment take on the interpretations of their era.   What is anorexia nervosa? Is it a form of hysteria or psychosis, an addiction or a borderline state? A perversion? A hormonal disorder? A neurological disorder? An eating disorder? A body-image disorder?

For centuries, descriptions and interpretations of the condition - some conflicting, some complementary - have followed on from one another. This illness of mind and body resists any exclusively biological or exclusively psychoanalytical approach. The body, which becomes a battleground, bears the brunt of this relationship and dependency disorder.

The film focuses on the “enigma” of anorexia (the pursuit of maximum thinness) rather than on the wider field of eating disorders, which would include too many diverse notions.

Autism remains a mystery. People with autism will live with this disorder all their life and our societies are all facing the same question: how to take care of them?

France lags behind on this subject. Comparing the experiences of other countries, Italy, Sweden, Germany, and Quebec, we will clarify the French situation and demonstrate that practices exist and allow to improve significantly the autist’s life. Every time it comes to real societal choices that reveal our various ways to approach difference. But there are in any case, no simple answers to this complex problem.
